Fredericktown’s Blake Sipes scored the decisive touchdown in overtime, leading the Freddies to a 26–20 victory over the Loudonville Redbirds on Friday night. The game was part of a Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference showdown.
The matchup took place at Fredericktown High School on October 3rd, where both teams competed through four quarters before entering extra time tied at 20.
According to reports, Sipes carried Fredericktown with three total touchdowns — two rushing and one passing — while connecting with Gavin Toombs and Jason Butler for key scoring plays. Loudonville rallied from a 14–0 deficit, tying the game late with second-quarter and fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a crucial two-point conversion that forced overtime. However, Fredericktown’s defense secured the win with an interception in the extra frame after Sipes’ one-yard score put the Freddies ahead.
Fredericktown (6–1, 3–1 KMAC) will host Mt. Gilead on Friday at 7 p.m., while Loudonville (3–4) returns home to face Danville at the same time.
In their previous meeting, Fredericktown narrowly defeated Loudonville 22–20, marking another close contest between these conference rivals.
